1、 Working principle
Using inductively coupled plasma as an ion source, the sample is introduced into the plasma, and the elements in the sample are ionized into ions. These ions are focused by an ion optical system and enter a mass analyzer for separation and detection based on the mass to charge ratio (m/z) of different ions.
2、 Main features
High sensitivity: able to detect extremely low concentrations of elements, even up to the ppt (parts per trillion) level.
Simultaneous analysis of multiple elements: It can simultaneously determine dozens or even hundreds of elements.
Wide dynamic range: capable of covering element analysis from trace amounts to high concentrations.
Quick analysis: The analysis speed is fast, usually completing multi-element analysis of a sample within a few minutes.
3、 Application Fields
Environmental monitoring: used to detect heavy metals and other pollutants in soil, water, and atmosphere.
Geological exploration: Analyzing the elemental composition of rocks and minerals to help determine geological structures and mineral resources.
Biopharmaceuticals: Detecting trace elements in biological samples and studying their relationship with diseases.
Food safety: detecting harmful substances such as heavy metals and pesticide residues in food.
Materials Science: Analyze impurity elements in materials, evaluate the quality and performance of materials
